We’re baaacckk! Did you miss us?
I did my best to cram in all the stuff that happened while we were gone, but…alas…we might have missed a gig or two,
We have some meeting coverage for you. See page 4 for the Fairhaven Select Board.
Ah…just realized one of the things I missed was the creation of the budget working group. The board did create it, and they are looking for members, so…sign up.
And…we hired a town planner….I think. I didn’t double check to make sure she actually got on board, but, I have no real reason to think she wouldn’t (see page 4).
Acushnet had some excitement with some yahoo running around in people’s yards. See page 3 for that.
Here’s a cool thing. My cousin (okay, one generation younger) was in town for a bit and did a really cool concert at the RJD. He’s a classically trained singer, and performed with another opera singer and a fabulous pianist…wow, that guy made that instrument sing and talk. So, imagine opera voices singing fun Americana songs. Yup…see page 19 for my take on it. (Yeah, yeah, a little nepotism is 100% called for.)
We also did a few quick hits on stuff that happened while we were gone: July 4 parade (page 7); Acushnet protest against the Big Buffoon (page 12); Acushnet River cleanup (page 13); Fire Department fun (page 12); the tall ship Sagres in New Bedford (12). And, there really is more in here.
Speaking of the Big Buffoon, did you seem try to steal the spotlight from Spain after they won the World Cup. I mean, honestly. It’s a good thing he has no shame because he would just DIE from embarrassment.
And three more innocent people killed by the Big Buffoon’s thugs. How many will it take before enough people stand up and stop this guy?
