Brrr….it’s freezing out there!
YIKES.
My little wood stove is cranking and it’s still cold in there. The dog is all wrapped up in his blankets.
It was cold enough this week to freeze up the marshes, but, alas, the temperature won’t stay that way long enough (see page 12).
I got out there to get some pics, but the ice was onlyl just forming.
Don’t worry, I’m sure it’ll get here eventually.
Poor Acushnet is a victim of its own success. Their COVID testing was so popular they jammed up South Main Street and had to send people away.
Unfortunately, for non-Acushnet people, they will no longer be testing non-residents. There are other places, though. New Bedford has lots of sites. But, unless youi have to for work or something, there’s no need to keep getting tested if you have no symptoms. Lighten up the load for those who have no choice.
Me, I’m perfectly happy to hang here by my fire. Now, when spring rolls around….eh….not so much.
The Fairhaven Select Board also had a pretty busy night. Yes, the Bijou story is here, finally. I ran a picture, too (see page 13).
Not sure how this one’s going to play out, but, really, can’t we all just play nice-nice for a couple of minutes?
I forgot to ask for an update on the election. Oh well, you’ll just have to wait until next week to see who returned papers and who took papers out. Meanwhile, if you’re thinking of running for something, check out page 11 for details on how to do that.
The new year is upon us, and it is still jerking people around.
