Fairhaven’s Troop 52, is ready to welcome a new Eagle Scout to the ranks. Patrick Fleming of Fairhaven, a junior at Bishop Stang High School, completed his Eagle Scout project on May 31, 2025. The Troop has documented his achievements and all badges earned and will hold an Eagle Scout Court of Honor in the coming weeks.
Mr. Fleming replaced the old ceiling tiles in the St. Mary’s church hall in Fairhaven. The hall is the home for Troop 52 and many other St. Mary’s events and community events.
Mr. Fleming raised money to replace the tiles, then got a grew of about 20 volunteers to help take out the old tiles and install the new ones.
Fairhaven Fire Chief, Todd Correia, volunteered his time to help with the tiles that surrounded the fire alarms. Troop 52 leaders and Scouts volunteered, and family all the way from Leominster were also part of the crew.
David Goff, who is part of the St. Mary’s Parish Council and Scout Master Bob Dorgan were instrumental in helping to get the Eagle project approved and executed. State Rep. Mark Sylvia also stopped by to say “hello.”
