Music on the Porch Day
Celebrate Play Music on the Porch Day with us. G & Friends will perform contemporary adult music from noon to 2 p.m. on 8/31, under the pavilion (not a porch, but that’s OK!). This five-piece band features George Piva on Guitar, Marvin Perry on Vocals, Mike Moran on Bass, Gabe Cabral on Drums, and Dennis Cook on Sax. The Acushnet Lions Club sponsors this event.
What if, for one day, everything stopped… And we all just listened to the music? In 2018, thousands of musicians from at least 59 countries and over 675 cities participated! Join us last Saturday in August for Play Music on the Porch Day! Play Music on the Porch Day is an international day of music.
Jewelry Sale
Obsessed with jewelry? Love a bargain? Come shop at the Friends of the Acushnet Public Library’s jewelry and handbag sale on Saturday, September 7, 9am – 12pm. The sale will be held outside on the library’s front lawn, at 232 Middle Rd., Acushnet. Items include new and gently-worn jewelry, with prices starting at just $1, as well as a selection of previously-loved handbags. Cash only. Come find that one-of-a-kind piece for yourself or for a gift! All proceeds help the Friends support the library in providing programs and services. (In the event of rain, the sale will be held in the library’s Community Room, starting at 9:30am when the library opens to the public, until 12pm.)
