Sylvia Thanks Supporters
To the people of the 10th Bristol District –
I am so grateful to you, the voters of the 10th Bristol District for electing me as your next state representative. I take office on January 1, 2025 and will hit the ground running on your behalf. Thank you for placing your trust in me.
Connecting with voters across the district was so important. Whether knocking on over 8,000 doors, attending local events, meeting with voters in their homes, participating in debates and candidate forums, or just simply talking with people around the community, I listened to what you are most concerned about and what you are most hopeful for.
Our focus during this election was on addressing the increased costs of living, advocating for state aid, fighting for our local industries, combating climate change, protecting our fundamental rights and bringing people together.
I will focus on these issues and advocate for the needs of each of our communities. I look forward to meeting with officials in our six municipalities to discuss how I can help. I will also set office hours in the district to be accessible and available to you. And I will communicate with you regularly to ensure the district is always informed.
To Representative Straus, thank you for your thirty-two years of amazing service to the people of our district. The state investments made in our region, and various laws enacted during your tenure, as well as your constant presence, have all had a lasting impact.
I also want to express my gratitude to our campaign team, volunteers and supporters who worked so hard and truly reflected our positive approach to this election.
Finally, thank you to my family and friends. I would not have started this journey without the love and support of my family — my parents, children, relatives and friends.
Onward together —
Mark Sylvia, State Representative-Elect, 10th Bristol District
