No-Kings is “anti-ideal”
The recent No Kings protest near Fairhaven High School was not, basically, for the right to immigrate, to due process, to individual rights or to any ideal. No Kings is anti-ideal. No Kings is nihilist, a (hidden) attack on ideals, even communism, and their source in man’s independent mind.
No Kings is anti-inequality, anti-individual rights, anti-the individual rights Constitution, anti-due process. Democracy and the people are (hidden) methods of sacrificing ideals. Sacrifice to what? To nothing. Sacrifice as an end in itself.
No Kings evaded Biden’s evasion of the need to reform the dangerously vague and ambiguous immigration laws that Trump uses to attack the right to immigrate and the right to due process. No Kings evaded the American Founders recognition that democracy is the Tyranny Of The Many, of mob rule, of the emotion-guided violation of the rights of the losers in elections.
Rightists are also nihilists, also against America’s founding as history’s only basically, rational individualist culture. But that’s another discussion for another time.
