Romano endorses Miles Grant, Kuechler
I am writing today to offer my endorsement for Select Board Candidates, Miles Grant and Pam Kuechler.
I first met Miles when he was campaigning for the Planning Board. I am consistently impressed by Miles’ “outside-the-box” approach to issues. I am confident Miles will be an independent thinker, and bring a unique set of skills and approach to problem solving that will benefit everyone in town.
Throughout this campaign, he has spent many days going door to door listening directly to residents’ concerns. He also attended both the Democratic and Republican Town Committee meetings to make sure he is hearing issues from all sides. During his time on the planning board, Miles has worked to restore trust in the process for residents.
Miles also challenges the way I think, which I appreciate.
Over the past, year Miles has been attending Select Board meetings, and we often discuss issues that arise. I appreciate his attention to detail and his willingness to speak up when he does not agree with the outcome. Miles does not talk the talk, he lives it. Most of his campaign events have been centered around advocacy and transparency, as seen with his walks around Rogers School Property and the Timothy Hiller Subdivision.
Miles will be a major asset to the Select Board.
Pam, on the other hand, is a leader I have watched and respected for years now. I had the honor to watch closely as Pam chaired many school committee meetings, and she always led with grace and honor. Pam made sure that when issues were contentious, she was a calm voice to help guide the town through to the other side. During her tenure, Pam made VERY hard decisions. These were not decisions that benefited Pam, they benefited all of us — even to this day.
Pam has an incredible skill set with a long history of local and state advocacy. Undoubtedly, the budget is the largest concern we have going into 2027. Pam will bring not only her experience working on the school budget, but also her experience managing a $150M budget in her role as Executive Director of PACE. Pam brings a controlled and calculated approach to problem solving. She often says that “doing the work is [her] favorite part, and for that we will all benefit.
Our Town is at a critical moment. We need leaders who are ready to make hard decisions, are ready to get creative, and are not afraid of taking a major swing. I am confident that Pam and Miles will be ready to hit the ground running and get to work with a calm, transparent, and collaborative voice. I hope you will join me in voting for them both on June 9th!
