Legal Notice Fairhaven Millicent Library Boiler

TOWN OF FAIRHAVEN

Millicent Library Boiler Replacement Project 

The Town of Fairhaven, Massachusetts, will receive bids for the Millicent Library Boiler Replacement Project located at 45 Center Street Fairhaven, MA 02719. This project includes the replacement of existing gas fired boilers and associated electrical, fire alarm and plumbing upgrades. Bid Forms and Contract Docu­ments shall be available online June 10, 2026 at www.biddocs.com. Neither Owner nor Architect/ Engineer shall be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than Bid Docs. 

The Town of Fairhaven will receive General Bids no later than 2:00 PM, June 24, 2026 via biddocs.com. This project is being bid electronically and hard copy bids will not be accepted. A non-mandatory pre-bid walk through will be held at 10:00 AM on June 16, 2026 at Millicent Library, 45 Center Street Fairhaven, MA 02719. Attendance is strongly recommended. DCAMM certification in the category of HVAC Prime is required for general contractor. All work associated with the boiler replacement shall be completed and the system operational by September 25, 2026. 

Every Bid shall be accompanied by a bid deposit, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount, in the form of a certified check; or a treasurer’s check; or a cashier’s check; issued by a responsible bank or trust company, made payable to the Town of Fairhaven; or a bid bond in a form satisfactory to the Town of Fairhaven, with a surety company qualified to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. All submitted bids are the property of the Town of Fairhaven and are public record. Any bidder may withdraw their bid prior to the bid opening. 

The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids, wholly or in part, and to make awards in a manner deemed in the best interest of the Town.
