We’re baaack!
Well, mostly. I think my brain is still on vacation.
So much to rage about…so little time…so little space.
Yes, indeed, it will all have to wait until next week because it’s too late and I’ve got to get this baby to bed.
Lots of fun stuff happened while we were gone. Glenn was out and about having lots of fun covering it all. Just look at that cool cover shot, huh?
See pages 12, 13, and 19 for some pictures of Homecoming, July 4th events, Fairhven’s Got Pride and cool fireworks.
Lions member and long time BPW worker Bob Parent was honored with a plaque in his name (see page 12). Bob was a great supporter of the paper. He was at every event that was fun to be at, wearing a big smile. He is missed very much by many people.
We have some meeting coverage for you this week. The Select Board meeting is on page 4.
And, our new Town Administrator is smacking right up against it: Change? Change? Oh God NO.
Honestly, people. If Henry Huttleston Rogers were alive, I have no doubt he would gut that building without a minute’s hesitation. That stupid mezzanine wannabe thingy really is useless. We’re in the 21st century. People in wheelchairs shouldn’t have to go through hell just to pay a bill.
Just think: What would Henry do?
He’d say let’s get this building modernized. The guy was a big believer in the new and techy stuff. He put a phone in every room in the high school in 1906. That really should tell you something.
Ah well.
There’s more in here of course. Be sure to notice whe our advertisers are so you can tell them you saw their ads in the Neighb News. Until next week then..see ya
