Oh, all the fun stuff is coming back!
This week’s cover story is a fun one that hasn’t happened in two years. The West Island 5K and Kids Fun Run got everyone out there running around and hanging out and just enjoying the outdoors together (see page 12). It was a smaller field than usual, but… that’s okay, things are opening up slowly. But they are opening up.
Acushnet has some big news this week (see page 16), with the police department getting certified…next step, accreditation. That’s quite the feat.
Fairhaeven’s Selectboard met this week, too (see page 4), and went over budgets and other fun stuff. Don’t worry, they’ll be going over budgets in the next few meetings, too, so we’ll get more details in about all that as we go along.
This weekend lots of people were out and about, working on gardens and riding motorcycles, and doing all kinds of other outdoor stuff.
The Fairhaven Lions were some of them, sprucing up Benoit Square (see page 7).
And, there are lots of events coming up, too.
This weekend youth baseball opens up with their traditional parade on Saturday (see page 9), and that definitely means spring is here.
The Fairhaven Cherry Blossom Festival is also back, with their fun stuff happening on Sunday (see page 5).
There’s plenty of other stuff going on this weekend. Check out the happenings pages to see who’s doing what and what’s coming up in the coming weeks.
There’s other stuff in here, of course. As you check it out, please be sure to notice who our advertisers are so you can tell them you saw their ads in the Neighb News.
Until next week then…see ya,
Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!
