The Blue Devils are going to the Super Bowl again! How cool is that? See page 11 for some great pictures of the playoff game, and information on the game at Gillette Stadium next week. If you can’t go, you can watch it. Congratulations to the whole team, and good luck next week.
It’s our annual shopping issue, and that means all the holiday stuff is really heating up. See page 3 for a few of this weekend’s events, and pages 5, 6, and 7 for more. We’ve got singalongs, decorating, Santa visits, and lots of shopping opportunities. There’s even a motorcycle run. BRRR.
Please make an effort to shop at our advertisers before you go to the big places. Our advertisers make it possible for us to publish. Direct reader support is also critical for this operation. It costs about $1200 a week to produce the Neighb News. Then, of course, it’s supposed to support me. Yes, this is my day job. No sugar momma here, either. Just little ole me. So, as you dig into your pockets for holiday giving, pleased consider tossing a few bucks over to the local free sheet. Sorry we’re not tax deductible, but, we’re still a good cause, right?
It’s also a good time of year to find an organization that needs some volunteer help. So many of these groups have fund-raisers this time of year, so check them out. And, soon the Old Tyme Holiday will be happening (see ad on page 14), with all those tables upstairs in the town hall for nonprofits. It’s a good chance to see who’s around and ask what they might need (well, besides money, right?)
We have a Select Board story for you this week. See page 4 for the latest on what’s happening….or not. Judge for yourself.
And, gulp….I just realized I had a couple of letters to the editor to run this week. I totally spaced. Here I am hitting the deadline wall and no room for them. Sorry, folks, I’ll get those in next week. My bad.
Until next week then, see ya,
Glory to Ukraine!
Glory to the Heroes!
