Okay, Everyone, calm down. If you’ve been paying attention at all, you knew it would happen here soon. Fairhaven is a shelter community. The state has booked rooms at the Seaport Inn for migrants who have been transported here from southern states. In Mass., we take care of them. We don’t throw them into the streets…well, at least not right away, I guess. I’ll be doing some follow-up reporting on this to be sure.
I’m happy to say that most of the chatter I saw revolved around how to help these poor families. A few brought out the proverbial pitchforks and torches, of course, but they were shut down pretty quickly.
There’s a rally to show support for the families on Saturday. Let’s hope the hateful ones stay home or, at least, are very, very, very outnumbered.
The Manjiro Festival alternates each year between us and Japan, so make sure you get to this fun event. It won’t be back for a bit.

You can help us stay afloat, too. If you think the paper is worth your time, then it’s worth your money, too, right? If our readers sent us just $20 a year, we’d be in good shape financially. So please consider a donation to the paper that everyone actually reads.
Until next week then, see ya
