Lakeville Family Fest
Saturday, September 30 is the day between 10am and 4pm to mark on your calendar for the 18th annual Lakeville Arts & Music Festival. Rain or shine, the Festival is a fun time full of different activities, plus shopping, and is free! Three of the musicians/bands include an award-winning Trio, Sinner’s Pie who plays both original tunes and their own unique interpretation of their favorite covers in the bluegrass, folk and Americana tradition. Last Time I Heard You a rock, blues and soul inspired group. The Old Colony Highlander Bag Pipe Band will perform with their usual high intensity performance to wow the crowds and get people excited to want to know more about the culture of the Great Highland Bagpipe and drums.
There will be juried artisans selling their beautiful handmade one-of-a-kind items such as photography, hand-made cards, CBD salves, handcrafted wreaths, decoys, doorstops, a variety of jewelry, charcuterie & cutting boards, birdhouses, stoneware pottery, weavings, plus natural body care products, to mention just a few.
Be sure to check out the children’s entertainment to include Trevor the Games Man and Mr. Vinny The Bubble Man along with a pumpkin program and more. Plus, Barbara Arpante will join us to paint a few faces with hypoallergenic paints that will be sure to brighten everyone’s day! There will also be a variety of lunch foods sold by the Lakeville United Church of Christ, Yakisoba Noodles and popcorn by the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Middleborough, information tables for nonprofit organizations.
Throughout the day the Lakeville Arts Council will host a Silent Auction featuring donated items from our participating artisans/crafters, gift certificates and/or special gifts from local businesses such a family membership to Buttonwood Park Zoo, Pet Food Shoppe gift card, Star Drive-In gift card, gift certificates for 4 to King Richards Faire, just to mention a few.
This free event is supported in part by the Lakeville Arts Council, as well as by grants from the Freetown and Middleborough Cultural Councils and Lakeville Arts Council; all are local agencies supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

Inside the historic Lakeville Town Hall along with the Silent Auction items, you will have the opportunity to watch Elsie Goldstein paint, ask her questions and view her acrylic paintings that will be adorning the walls of the Town Hall.
Parking is plentiful! The Assawompset School parking lot on Main Street is a designated spot located approximately a quarter of a mile from the festivities. For emergency reasons, please do not park on private property lawns or around the library driveway.
