Fairhaven resident, Lori Leal, is tearing up the racetrack in Seekonk, winning the Powder Puff race for the third time this weekend.
Lori won the “Powder Puff Feature’ on Saturday, 5/25/24, Memorial Day weekend, dubbed the 2024 Memorial Day Thrill Show.
Ms. Leal, also won the 2023 Mid Summer Thrill Show, Powder Puff, and the 2022 Powder Puff on Labor Day.
She only recently took up racing (at 50-something) and started winning right away. She credits her daughter for her success, Tori Price, because she is the ace mechanic kwo keeps things running.
Ms. Leal is also battling cancer, but has clearly decided that it won’t stop her from having some fun and making Fairhaven proud at the Seekonk Speedway.
