In addition to the Fab Over 40 cause, Ms. Poyant hopes to raise awareness and support for hATTR amyloidosis early intervention, a disease that has affected her and her family, and the community.
“Early testing allows for better outcomes and yet many are not aware until much later,” writes Ms. Poyant on her Fab Over 40 page. “The second goal is to support my start up of Spicin’ Life active apparel, to inspire multi ethnic children to live authentically not by what society may assume due to their features.
