Debbie Wojcik had a heckuva time scheduling her vaccine appointment. In the end, she was not able to do it.
Then a little angel appeared.
Really, he’s nine years old.
Miles Gardner knocked on Ms. Wojcik’s door wearing a “high wattage smile,” she said.
“He said he found something he’s good at,” she said, adding that she had been in tears tring to schedule her appointment last month.
She “turned it over to God,” or the universe.
“I gave up for me and my husband,” said Ms. Wojcik.
Then Miles saved the day. He had all his electronic devices open and was making appointments for other people, too.
So, on a cold day in March, the neighbors walked around the neighborhood to thank young Mr. Gardner.
“It’s so beautiful to see this happen to him,” said Ms. Wojcik.
She made a poster to thank her hero and presented it to him: Outside, with masks on, of course.
“He is is parents’ son,” said Ms. Wojcik. “They’re such wonderful people.”
