The City of New Bedford held virtual Memorial Day commemorations due to social distancing measures in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
While New Bedford’s 2020 Memorial Day parade was cancelled, two events were livestreamed on the City’s Facebook pages and aired on New Bedford Cable Access: the annual Fishermen’s Memorial Service at Seamen’s Bethel; and the City Memorial Sevice and Wreath Laying at Soldiers and Sailors Monument, Clasky Common Park.
