Women’s Persisterhood Forum and Lunch at New Bedford Art Museym, 608 Pleasant St., New Bedford, Sat., 1/19, 8:30 a.m., Keynote spekaer, Dr. Laurie Santos will speak precisely at 9 a.m., followed by a facilitated discussion from 10-11 a.m. Lunch 11-noon. At noon we will dismiss and head to the Custom House Square to rally and march. Hosted by Women’s March Southcoast and Action Together Southeastern Mass.
Part of the second annual Weekend of Women, which includes, Lunafest at Zeiterion on Fri., 1/18, from 5-9 p.m.; afterparty at Slainte Irish Pub at 9 p.m. on 1/18; Men’s Forum at Solstice on 1/19 at 10:30 a.m.; Beyond #metoo at NB Public LIbrary at 2:30 p.m. on 1/19; Persisterhood Awards at NB Harbor Hotel at 3 p.m. on 1/19; Free makeovers at Stye Makers Salon on Sun., 1/20; MLK Jr. Day at Tefereth Israel Congregation at 3 p.m. on 1/20.
Men’s Forum
Sat., 1/19, 10:a.m.–11:30 a.m., at Solstice Skateboarding, 102 William St., NB: Join Manny DeBrito and Angel Diaz for a forum to discuss being allies to women and children. We respectfully request that registration be limited to male oriented attendees.

Sat., 1/19, beginning at Custom House Square, downtown New Bedford. Pre-March Rally begins at 12 noon. Anniversary of the Women’s March in downtown New Bedford. Starting at Custom House Square. Open to all! Children and families welcome. Singers include Miss New Bedford 2018 and Showstoppers Performing Arts, Inc. Speakers include Dr. Kim Holland, Poet Laureate Patricia Gomes.
