The Acushnet Historical Society invites the public for a free and live Revolutionary War Encampment, honoring our local history, Sun., 8/23, at the Long Plain Museum, 1203 Main St., Acushnet, 1–3 p.m. Featuring militia from Fairhaven, Dartmouth, Rehoboth performing on-site demonstrations of life in Revolutionary era America, including tin-smithing. Step back in time and experience history come to life right here in Acushnet.
Also refreshments and ice cream from Acushnet Creamery will be available for purchase.
The museum will be open for you to discover Acushnet’s rich history. Preserve our past, connect with our history, inspire our future.
