Music on the Porch Day
Celebrate Play Music on the Porch Day with us, Sat., 8/29. The Jethros will perform from noon to 2 pm under the pavilion (not a porch, but that’s OK!)
Summer Concert Series
Concerts are held rain or shine, 6–7:30 p.m. In the event of rain, join us under the pavilion or in the community room. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Acushnet Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
Aug. 26 (Rescheduled from 7/29 due to weather.): G & Friends. Marie S. Howard School Alum George Piva returns to the Acushnet Public Library. G & Friends will perform contemporary adult music under the pavilion from 6 pm. This five-piece band features George Piva on Guitar, Marvin Perry on Vocals, Mike Moran on Bass, Rick Andre on Drums, and Dennis Cook on Sax.
Raffle
The Friends of the Acushnet Public Library will be holding a 50/50 raffle at each of the Acushnet library’s Wednesday evening outdoor Summer Concert Series.
Tickets are $5 each (cash only) and can be purchased during the library’s Wednesday evening Summer Concert Series. The Friends will also be accepting jewelry donations at the Wednesday concerts for their annual September jewelry sale fundraiser.
New Bedford
The Summer Sound Series of weekly concerts returns to Downtown New Bedford, bringing crowds and free entertainment on Friday nights through the beginning of September.
During Summer Sound Series concerts, there will be free parking available at the Elm Street Garage and the Zeiterion Garage. All concerts are weather permitting.
All concerts run from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Remaining dates are:P
