A ballot question to fund a new $288.7 million building for Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School failed for the second time in six months. All five communities in the district voted on 6/20/26. The measure had to pass by an aggregate of the votes, but lost 3,780–2,275. Only Mattapoisett voted to approve the spending.
Acushnet’s vote was an overwhelming no, 1604–317 with 22% of the electorate voting.
Carver voted 254–241 against; Lakeville voted against, 903–680; Mattapoisett voted yes, 459–188; Rochester voted no, 831–579.
