Letter Miles Grant is Helpful Neighbor

June 3, 2026 by Staff Writer

Miles Grant is Helpful Neighbor

I’d like to take a moment to talk about Miles Grant. I met Miles in December 2025 after my mom passed away. Prior to that my parents had talked about him to me over the phone almost weekly, telling me what a good neighbor he was, since I have lived out of state for many years. They mentioned what a good cook he was, as he would often bring them a dish of what he had recently made.

He has been supportive and so helpful as he gave me his phone number and has been so friendly to my dad in his grief, being next door neighbors. This is the street I grew up on and I miss it dearly, A handful of other neighbors have been reaching out too, a beautiful community that I am very grateful for. Never could we have gotten through this without the sincere desire to be helpful that Miles and the neighbors have offered.

The blizzard that inundated the Fairhaven area this past winter was yet another instance for this beautiful community to rise up to help each other, my dad being elderly and alone was a grateful recipient of much loving assistance from Miles and other neighbors on this little street. From bringing food to shoveling his stairs and many other things. I truly believe that Miles cares deeply about Fairhaven and is an asset to the town.

This letter is in my support of him. Even though I am unable to vote in the upcoming election, June 9, he has shown himself as an upstanding citizen of this town and I truly believe he has its best interest in mind. I have shared this with all my extended family who still resides in town, hoping they give him the vote and I sincerely hope you give him your support.

Thank you for reading,

Holly Lewis, Acworth, GA
