My name is Andrew Panek, and I am running for the Fairhaven Planning Board. Due to a work obligation, I unfortunately cannot attend the League of Women Voters Candidates Night (see page 3). I regret to miss this opportunity to connect with you.
So who am I and why am I running for Planning Board? Because I care deeply about the future of our town.
If elected, I will follow Fairhaven’s bylaws to promote responsible development that benefits the community while preserving our natural resources. My goal is to help ensure a vibrant, sustainable, and secure future for Fairhaven and its residents.
I bring both professional experience and a strong commitment to public service. I hold a Massachusetts Unlimited Construction Supervisor License and I am a licensed Home Improvement Contractor. I currently serve as Director of Housing at PACE Inc. in New Bedford and teach construction and OSHA at YouthBuild New Bedford. With an engineering degree from Massachusetts Maritime Academy and a graduate degree in education, I am committed to both practicing and teaching industry best practices. I believe this background will allow me to bring consistency, informed decision-making, and confidence to the Planning Board.
I am looking forward to speaking with voters at the town-sponsored Meet the Candidates Night at the end of the month (see page 3) and welcome the opportunity to answer your questions in person.
