Fairhaven has two candidates night scheduled.
League of Women Voters
The League of Women Voters of SouthCoast is hosting a Candidates’ Night Forum 6:30-8:30 p.m., Thursday, May 7, 2026, at the Elizabeth Hastings Middle School, 30 School Street, Fairhaven, MA. The community and candidates are invited.
Candidates running unopposed will have 5 minutes to introduce themselves, give a brief overview of their qualifications, why they would be a “good fit” for the position, and their understanding of the scope of the office they are seeking.
Candidates running in contested races will have 2 minutes to introduce themselves and explain their qualifications, laying out their understanding of the scope of the office they are seeking. In addition, candidates will have 1 minute and 30 seconds to answer questions posed by the moderator and have a 1-minute closing statement.
The Forum will be in accordance with the League of Women Voters’ guidelines, e.g., “no empty chair” or proxy for a candidate, and no personal references about other candidates. No cell phones or other electronic devices will be allowed during the Forum.

Fairhaven Cable Candidates Night
Town of Fairhaven Government Access TV will host a candidates night on Thurs., 5/28, at 6 p.m., in the Town Hall auditorium, 40 Center St. Fairhaven. It will run live on Channel 97 and livestream on FairhavenTV.com

Please submit your questions to FairhavenTV@gmail.com by May 24. Please specify which position the question is intended for.
Residents are asked to submit questions in advance to be asked anonymously to candidates. Each candidate for a particular seat with have an opportunity to answer the same question, with a rotation of who answers first.
