Winter is trying to hang on, but time marches on (see what I did there?).

Wind chills were in the teens and he crocuses still came up. Gotta love New England.

Local election season is heating up. See page 14 for a couple of candidates announcing, one in Acushnet and one in Fairhaven. Acushnet has no contested races this year. That’s terrible. May I remind you call that democracy is not a spectator sport? We ALL have to participate.

The apathy is why we are in the mess we are in.

The Big Buffoon is babbling and rambling and unraveling before our eyes and his supporters are all like…woohoo, strong leader…yay, we kicked ass…just LOOK at tha 401K!

Meanwhile, a Palestinian student who did nothing wrong, but disagreed  in public with the thin skinned buffoon, just got released after a year in prison. She was not charged with a crime. A whole year of her precious, young life gone, spent in an American detention center because of something she said.

While in detention in a despicable place, in OUR name, she got very sick and ended up chained to a hospital bed. Again, no reason except for disagreeing with the Big Buffoon.

And she’s not the only one. There are thousands.

What will it take to get you Trumpers to realized that this is not what America is supposed to be? People come here because the “rule of law” offers protection. We all grew up believing in the “rule of law.”

But, when it’s your guy…it matters not, eh?

Two people died when ICE dumped them on the street. Daphy Michel had mental health issues and was dumped in a city, no one even knows where, probably a bus station in Pittsburgh. Her body was found five days later. She entered the country legally, by the way, but apparently that does not matter.

Nubul Amin Shah Alam was nearly blind and spoke no English. He was here seeking asylum. ICE dumped him in the doorway of a coffee shop that was closed in the middle of winter in Buffalo, NY. You don’t have to be a genius to figure out he was found dead on the street a few days later.

ICE also grabbed a 14-year-old Mass. girl and took her out of state without her family. She is 14. FOURTEEN! She’s a child.

At the same time, we are furiously trying to get World War III going. Thankfully, the NATO countries said no thanks USA, you are on your own.

So great…just so great.

There is actual local news in here somewhere. While you’re looking for it, be sure to notice who our advertisers are so you can tell them you saw their ads in the Neighb News.

Until next week then, see ya,

Glory to Ukraine!
Glory to the Heroes!
