We’re baaack! Did you miss us? I know some people didn’t…hee hee.
Happy New Year to all my faithful readers, and to all the crazies who jumped in the water on New Year’s Day just….because. OH…I could never do that.
Brrr. It’s been cold out there the last couple of weeks. And Thursday was no exception, but hundreds still showed up and jumped in (see page 12).
A crazy kind of snow squall hit just as the plungers were getting ready to go in. We all got a laugh out of it, but, on Martha’s Vineyard, that snow squall resulted in the deaths of two experienced fishing people (see page 14), when their boat capsized. We know the dangers around here all too well. Such a random thing to have happen. It’s heartbreaking. And also a brutal reminder of how dangerous it can be on the water.
The ZBA lost….again…in its fight to stop the School Department’s storage shed project. You know the one I mean, the one with nooooo conflicts of interest (NOT), except the one there is, of course. Geesh. See page 3 for that.
Fairhaven had two deaths and three stabbings. Geesh, people, get a grip. Walk away or something. See page 14 for that.
Meanwhile, the Big Buffoon bombed Venezuela and kidnapped its president and his wife. That’s seven countries the deranged narcissist has bombed in less than a year. I remember when Trumpers were yelling about regime change being bad, and how there were no wars under their Dear Leader. That was supposed to be a reason to vote for the buffoon. Suddenly, it’s okay to bomb anyone the numbnut fixes his gaze on.
He’s insisting that he’ll go after Greenland, but not until he bombs the you-know-what out of Cuba.
When will you all wake up? You’re in a cult, and the whole world is suffering because of it.
I mean Greenland, seriously? It makes no sense at all. They’re an ally. We have a base there. They let us have the run of the place for whatever we need. But they are not for sale.
And the kidnappings in this country continue, too. Plucking people off the streets for no good reason. Yet you all are still screaming something about freedom.
It’s sickening. Something needs to stop this guy. And soon.
There’s other stuff in here, of course. While you’re looking for it all, be sure to notice who our advertisers are so you can tell them you saw their ads in the Neighb News.
Until next week, then, see ya,

Glory to Ukraine!
Glory to the Heroes!
