The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing that the New Bedford-Fairhaven swing bridge (Route 6) is currently closed due to heat impacts. This closure is expected to remain in place for several hours.*
Drivers traveling through the affected area should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
