Huttleston Harborfest treated the world to a “Jaws” themed festival and a free outdoor screening of the award-winning movie on Saturday, 6/21/25.
Discover Fairhaven, the town’s tourism department sponsored the event. During the day more than 30 booths set up at Grimshaw Park at Fort Phoenix with crafts, food, information, and activities for kids.
A dunk tank gave some prominent local figures a cooling off period.
Estimates ranged from 1,000 to 4,000 people showing up for the movie.
The 50th anniversary of the movie that sent everyone out of the water has been getting lots of hype, especially in these parts, since it was filmed in Martha’s Vineyard.
Harborfest is held once a month in summer. The next one is on July 19, with the theme “Dog Days of Summer” and will feature many pet friendly vendors and activities. Leashed pets welcome.
