Join local musicians Jeff Angeley and Steven Brum for an improvisational performance set to the 1929 feature-length silent film “Man with a Movie Camera” by Dziga Vertov, offering a dynamic soundtrack that mirrors the film’s groundbreaking visual techniques and its exploration of modern life and art in early 20th-century Russian and Ukrainian cities.

At the Acushnet Public Library, 232 Middle Road, Mon., 12/2, 2 p.m., Silent Film Set to Live Music: “No Longer Silent’ presents historical films from the silent movie era set to live performances of contemporary composed soundtracks. Jeffrey Angeley and Steven Brum are the featured performers at December’s screening. Their score is based on rehearsed improvisations that will be performed as the backdrop to Dziga Vertov’s 1929 feature-length silent film “Man with a Movie Camera.”
