Shepherd’s Pantry Makes Annual Appeal
This is to remind people that our annual Shepherd’s Pantry holiday fundraiser is going on between now and Christmas.
The Shepherd’s Pantry serves an average of 90 families each Saturday between the hours of 9 and 11 a.m. at the Long Plain United Methodist Church, 1215 Main Street, Acushnet. However, at this time of year, the total amount of families who come by looking for help increases dramatically.
This particular fund raiser receives monetary donations that the pantry’s dedicated volunteers use to restock the shelves of food items that are running low or are out completely. With the pantry’s monthly expenditures that runs in the thousands of dollars in food purchases, you can clearly see the need for this yearly venture.
