The Fairhaven Board of Public Works and Acushnet Selectboard agreed to allow Acushnet residents to purchase (no more than) 100* West Island Beach passes (first come, first served) at the Fairhaven resident rate. In exchange, Fairhaven residents will be allowed to golf at the Acushnet River Valley Golf Course at the Acushnet resident rates.
In the off season, both respective elected Boards will review this pilot program initiative to ascertain it makes sense to renew it for next year.
*Beach passes are sold out.
