Sweet Lizzie’s Bake Shop: Where Sweet Dreams Come to Life
The aroma of freshly baked goods will soon waft through the streets of Fairhaven as Sweet Lizzie’s Bake Shop prepares to officially open its doors on June 15th. Located at 48 Main Street, Sweet Lizzie’s promises to be a haven for lovers of sweet treats and fresh coffee.
Founded by the dynamic duo of Liz and Roger Khoury, Sweet Lizzie’s is the result of Liz’s Magic Cookie Bars Christmas boxes.
“Our family and friends LOVED those magic cookie bars after every Christmas gathering and always said that one day I should open my own bake shop,” says Liz Khoury, co-owner and head baker. “I now remember those words with every batch of sweets, and I’m glad I listened.”
Liz began baking steadily in her home kitchen during lockdown in 2020, which led to small, word-of-mouth, sales. The fresh and sweet taste of her cookies, muffins, cakepops, choco-bombs, etc., however, spread like wildfire across hearts and lips, and Liz ended up renting a commercial kitchen to keep up with growing orders. A small dream was born.
From classic chocolate chip cookies to unique magic cookie bars, Sweet Lizzie’s menu is a showcase of Liz’s culinary power. Each treat is crafted with the finest ingredients and a generous sprinkle of sweet love, ensuring that every bite is a delightful experience.
The grand opening celebration on June 15th promises to be a day filled with excitement and good bites. From 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, guests are invited to stop by and indulge in complimentary samples of Sweet Lizzie’s signature creations.
“We’re so excited to welcome everyone to Sweet Lizzie’s and to share my wife’s passion for baking with the community,” adds Roger Khoury, co-owner and business manager. “I’m her biggest fan, and I can’t wait for the community to get a taste of what started in our kitchen so many years ago.”
Located in the heart of Fairhaven, Sweet Lizzie’s Bake Shop aims to become a beloved fixture in the community, offering not only delicious treats but also a warm and inviting atmosphere where friends and neighbors can gather to indulge their sweet tooth and create new memories together. Hours are Wed.–Fri., 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; Sat. & Sun., 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Closed Mon. & Tues.
