Oh, that was CLOSE. And I don’t even mean the game.
But, let’s do that first.
That was CLOSE! It was a tie score right till the end. The Dartmouth Indians almost pulled off a crazy play with no time on the clock, too. But, phew! See page 12 for details.
I have to say that the Thanksgiving Day game is SOOO much more fun when we win. And this was a downright thrilling game.
Welcome Samuel Simoes to the photographer pool. Look at that cover shot he got! Pretty cool, eh? I admit, I had no clue what everyone was screaming about. But I did get the shot of the kick. (Welcome to my world.)
Okay, the other thing that was close, because QR Codes SUCK! They didn’t give us a program book with the players and their numbers. It was online only.
But, guess what? When it came time to write the story, I couldn’t access the roster. “Access denied.”
I am seriously hating QR codes right now.
THANK YOU to the FHS Gridiron Facebook page for getting a screen shot of it to me after I asked very late on deadline night. (Yeah, the roster’s online, but it has duplicates…how can two kids have the same number?)
We have other good stuff in here, of course: Select Board on page 4; Acushnet had a bomb scare (page 3). And the Northeast Maritime Institute dedicated the gym to Joseph Machado. See page 4 for why.
