Curious about volunteer opportunities at one of New Bedford’s most beautiful historic houses? The Rotch-Jones-Duff House & Garden Museum, 396 County St., NB, will hold a volunteer open house on Sun., 4/23 from 1 to 3 p.m. Prospective volunteers are invited to drop by to learn more about the 1834 Greek Revival mansion from current RJD volunteers and Museum staff. Visitors will also have the opportunity to tour the historic mansion, fill out application materials, and enjoy refreshments.
RJD volunteers play an important role in the operation of the Museum and help in a variety of roles: they greet visitors, run the Front Desk, maintain the gardens, and assist staff with administrative duties.
Admission to the Museum during Volunteer Open House is free, and no registration is required. These events are supported in part by the Massachusetts Service Alliance. For more information about the Museum, visit the website, rjdmuseum.org.
