All-righty then…we are getting down the wire. We have ONE more issue before our winter break. We are not publishing on 12/22 and 12/29. So, if you have anything you want to say by the end of the year, you need to get it sent ASAP.
The holiday stuff is in full swing. Check out pages… all over the place to find stuff. Tree lightings, holiday fairs, tree sales, etc., etc., etc.
And of course, this weekend is the big Old Time Holiday on Saturday, the TENTH (yes, alas, last week I goofed, but you knew that).
Fairhaven (page 12) and Acushnet (page 13) both had their fabulously fun holiday lighting events. Santa was all over the place this weekend, and I have it on good authority, he’ll be back this weekend, too.
And there are lots of toy drives, too. While we’re all out buying stuff and looking at stuff, let’s be sure to spread a little cheer by buying stuff for people who can’t buy for their kids. Lots of trustworthy places to donate. See pages, 5, 8, 9, for that. You can also donate to the food pantries. They’ll be trying to make up special meals for people, so they can use money or grocery story gift cards for that.
We also have some meeting coverage for you. See page 4 for Fairhaven Select Board and how they’re spending more than $4 million in ARPA funds.
We also have Fairhaven BPW on page 22 for you.
The Acushnet Housing Authority had an art show for the residents, too. See page 6 for that.
There’s other stuff in here of course. While you’re looking for it, be sure to notice who our advertisers are so you can tell them you saw their ads in the Neighb News.
Until next week then… see ya,
Glory to Ukraine!
Glory to the Heroes!
