Well, summer activities are picking up for sure. This past weekend was the Memorial Day Parade (see page 12), This coming weekend is the high school graduation. If you want to run an ad congratulating the graduates, but sure to let us know ASAP. See page 4 for details.
FinestKind was in town again (see page 19). Got a great picture of a some local guys who are extras in the film. The production was kind of strict about getting on the set, but we were able to get a few good pics anyway.
They’ll be back around these parts on Saturday when they will be closing the bridge to film. That should be fun, huh?
Fairhaven and Acushnet both have a new call firefighter (see page 6). Congratulations to both of them. Stay safe out there.
Speaking of safe…
Acushne had a rash of car breaks…well, not “breaks,” exactly (page 16). More like opening the door and helping themselves. Really, folks, we know it’s sad to say, but you really have to lock your car doors at night.
We even managed to sneak in some meeting coverage (see page 4).
But, the big news is that all the outdoor and other summer programs are opening up, like Pirates and Privateers. See page 3 for that.
The walking tours, the marketplace/farmers market.
It’s all starting to happen in a big way.
The Fairhaven Road Race is back on this year, too (see ad on page 3).
Well, time to get this baby to bed.
