Powers has History of Commitment
I strongly endorse my friend Stasia Powers for the position of Fairhaven Select Board. I have known Stasia for over ten years and during that time she displayed dedication and steadfast devotion to the many community projects she undertook. She had served as PTO President of the Rogers School, had been involved in the Fairhaven Community Trails Project as well as serving on the Fairhaven School Committee for 14 years.
I first met Stasia when I was President of the Fairhaven Tennis Association (FTA). With over 100 members, Stasia served on the Board of Directors. She was also one of the founding Directors of the Fairhaven Junior Tennis Program as well as a Junior Scholarship Program with the goal of making tennis affordable to parents and their children. Soon we had over 70 juniors enrolled in our program. Stasia became a coach for one of our FTA Junior Travelling Tennis Teams and remained coaching for several years.
Recently, Stasia stepped forward to play a key role in the newly formed Fairhaven Pickleball Association (FPA). She currently administers the Web page entitled Fairhaven PlayerLineUp which allows members to sign up to play.
Stasia has a long history demonstrating her commitment to the Fairhaven Community. Because of her many experiences, she is very well prepared to serve on the Fairhaven Select Board. To vote for Stasia is a vote for the well-being and future of our community.
