Zoning Board of Appeals
Notice is hereby given that the Fairhaven Board of Appeals will conduct Public Hearings at 6:30 P.M. on January 3, 2017, in the Town Hall, 40 Center Street, Fairhaven, MA. The purpose of the hearings will be to receive information and public comment on the following applications.
- Petitioner Wayne & Linda Gallant 357 Bridge Street Plot 30, Lot 19H; book 175 and Page 011. 198-28 H Special permit required for construction within the Nasketucket River Basin in an RR District.
- Petitioner Paul & Elaina Letendre 80 Fir Street Plot 43C Lots 349, 358, 361, 362 Certificate #23967. 198-18 9.1 ft. short of required side yard setback in an RR District
- Comprehensive Permit. The applicant, Stratford Capital Group, is requesting Comprehensive Permit approval, per Town Code Chapter 493, to construct 63 senior affordable housing units at the former Oxford School. The proposal is to renovate the 1896 historic portion of the school, demolish the 1951 addition and construct an approximate 110,000 +/- SF new 3 story addition including parking and landscaping. The exemptions to the Zoning Bylaw Chapter 198 being requested are to allow multifamily residences in a Single Family (RA) zoning district, Intensity Use Schedule Section 198-18 for setbacks, building height, building & lot coverage requirements; parking setback & landscaping requirements Section 198-27; Use MA-DEP Stormwater requirements and not Section 198-31.1 Stormwater Management. The location of the property is 347 Main Street, Plot 22A, and Lots 192 & 193.
