Your Theatre Inc. presents “The Humans”at the Steeple Playhouse, 159 William St., NB. Accessible. Ample parking is available in the city lot at the corner of 6th and William, and both lot and metered street parking are free nights and weekends.
Delve into the heart of contemporary anxieties with unflinching honesty and surprising humor in Stephen Karam’s Tony Award-winning masterpiece, THE HUMANS. The delicate balance between familial love and the pressures of modern life—financial strain, aging parents, and the fear of the unknown—is upset over a family’s Thanksgiving dinner. This deeply resonant and powerful story offers a profound reflection on what it means to be human in an uncertain world.
Breaking with tradition Erik Blake has brought his Pennsylvania family to celebrate Thanksgiving at his daughter’s apartment in lower Manhattan, as darkness falls outside the ramshackle pre-war duplex, eerie things start to go bump in the night, and the heart horrors of the Blake clan are exposed.
Presented by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing, LLC, servicing the Dramatists Play Service collection. (www.dramatists.com)
