March AHA! Night: Women in the Wheelhouse, 3/10, 6:30 p.m. in person. Female captains, mates, and deckhands who work on commercial fishing boats will share firsthand experiences of life at sea. Book Talk: Ali Farrell, “Pretty Rugged: True Stories from Women of the Sea,” 3/18, 7 p.m. Free. Remote: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84061493513. Author Ali Farrell, along with fishermen featured in the book, will regale you with tales about her book. Tune in on Zoom to ask questions and hear about the experiences of women in a historically male-dominated industry navigating changes in gender roles within their life and work.
