Harry and the Potters free rock show on Fri., 8/23, at 6 p.m. on the front steps of the New Bedford Free Public Library, 613 Pleasant St., Downtown New Bedford. FREE and open to the public
NBAM/ArtWorks! and New Bedford Free Public Library present Harry and the Potters, the first wizard rock band! The Potters play songs exclusively about the Harry Potter books. Since 2002, Harry and the Potters have performed over 800 shows in libraries, rock clubs, art spaces, bookstores, basements, and all ages venues all over the world. This August, for the first time ever, the Potters are playing in New Bedford — for free — on the steps of the Library. Hop on your Nimbus 2000 and join us for this awesome event!
BEFORE THE SHOW
CLOAK AND WAND WORKSHOP, 8/23, 4:30 – 5:30 PM, New Bedford Art Museum/ArtWorks!, 608 Pleasant St., Downtown New Bedford. $15 per wizard (Members get 10% off)
You’re no muggle! You’re just missing your wand and cloak. Join us before the Harry and the Potters concert for a wand and cloak making workshop. There’s no need to steal a blackthorn wand when you can make your own. Workshop attendees will have the chance to share some Fizzing Whizbees over a game of Gobstones with the band — or at least say hi.
