Weigh anchor, mateys, see you next year

September 30, 2020 by Staff Writer

Pirates and Privateers concluded the 2020 season this past Friday morning. Despite dealing with the COVID-19 crisis, the program run by the Fairhaven Office of Tourism took place every Friday morning. The fun interactive presentation included a demonstration firing of a black powder swivel cannon, a demonstration of early medical practices and and stories of pirate lore enhanced by local true stories. Be sure to look for them next year in June when the program restarts.
