The Acushnet Council on Aging/ Senior Center wants everyone to know that the soup is on!
Every Monday the United Way donates cases of soup that the COA hands out for free to patrons of the center.
COA Director Heather Chew said people are welcome to take one home with them, and sometimes two if it gets to be later in the week and they have enough. Most weeks, though, the soup goes fast.
“It’s the best thing to have on a chilly day,” said Charlene Fortin, who works at the desk. “It’s a very generous donation.”
The center is at 59 1/2 South Main Street, Acushnet. Call for information on the services and activities they provide, 508-998-0280.
