Just ahead of Memorial Day, Acushnet Veterans Services Officer, Brad Fish, and several volunteers placed flags on the graves of veterans in Acushnet cemeteries on Saturday, 5/10/25, to honor those who have served the country in the military.
Acushnet will hold a Memorial Day service on Saturday, 5/24, at 9:30 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial at Pope Park, 9 Pope Street, corner of Main and Pope. There will be refreshments served at Acushnet Veterans of Foreign Wars following the program. In the case of inclement weather, a ceremony will be held indoors at Acushnet American Legion.
