The Fairhaven Planning Department is seeking up to 10 volunteers from the general public to be on the 40R Working Group. The group will meet 4-6 times over the next six months to help develop a 40R Bylaw and Design Standards.
The new zoning designation would be an overlay district that would allow for a wider variety of mixed uses. The bylaw would create boundaries for the district and would include design standards. The law was created to increase housing an encourage affordable housing options.
The deadline to apply is the end of August. The rest will come from Boards, Committees, Organizations, stakeholders etc.
