One of the best ways you can make an immediate impact on your local government, and Town in general, is to volunteer for one of the many boards and committees that are appointed by the Selectboard each year. These Boards and Committees carry out many vital functions for the Town, such as the Zoning Board of Appeals, the Conservation Commission, the Historic Commission, the Economic Development Committee, Broadband Study Committee, Library Trustees and many more.
It’s a great way to become involved, to meet some new people, and to make a positive impact in your community. Please consider donating some of your time or talent to any area you are passionate about or that you just think the town could use some improvement in.
