Vandals damage historical woodwork at Fairhaven High School

Press Release from Fairhaven Police

The Fairhaven Police Department is actively investigating a break-in that occurred at Fairhaven High School on Saturday, May 16.

During the incident, which occurred at about 11:45 p.m., multiple indi­viduals broke into the school at 12 Huttleston Ave. through a window and vandalized historical woodwork on the wall within a classroom.

This investigation is being con­ducted by the Fairhaven Police Detective Division, in collaboration with Fairhaven Public Schools officials. Detectives are reviewing surveillance footage and conducting interviews to identify suspects.

Charges are expected to be filed in Third District Court in New Bedford at the conclusion of the investigation.
