Fairhaven Senior Center, 229 Huttleston Ave, will be hosting a new program provided by Bristol County Sheriff Thomas Hodgson Office titled “Until Help Arrives” at the Fairhaven Senior Center, 229 Huttleston Ave., Wednesday, June 20, 6-8:00 p.m.
The 2 hour course, conducted by Colonel David Gavigan, will provide information and basic skills to keep someone safe in an emergency situation until help arrives.
Topics covered include 911 calling, staying safe at the scene of an emergency, stop the bleeding, positioning the injured, providing comfort and preparing for emergencies. The program is open to citizens of all ages or community groups that have little to no emergency training.
