“The Game’s Afoot”
KEN LUDWIG’S THE GAME’S AFOOT opens on a blustery December night in 1936, where Broadway star William Gillette, admired the world over for his leading role in the play Sherlock Holmes, has invited his fellow cast members to his Connecticut castle for a weekend of revelry. But when one of the guests is stabbed to death, the festivities in this isolated house of tricks and mirrors quickly turn dangerous. Before long, hazards and hilarity run rampant in this glittering whodunit set during the Christmas holidays.
Performances are wheelchair accessible at The Steeple Playhouse, 159 William St. in downtown New Bedford. The accessible entrance is located on the east side of the building facing City Hall. This will be the entrance for all patrons for this show. Ample parking is available in the city lot at the corner of 6th and William, and metered street parking is free nights and weekends.
