Town asks residents to remove signs after events

September 19, 2019 by Staff Writer

Press Release

The Town of Fairhaven would like to remind residents and businesses to kindly remove your yard sale and advertising signs from telephone poles and trees immediately after your scheduled event is completed.

Residents and businesses are responsible for the immediate removal of all signs. Feather signs, banners and temporary yard signs are prohibited by Town By-law.

In accordance with Fairhaven By-law 198-26 Section 3c, the Building Commissioner may implement fines of up to $300 per sign per-day until removed.

Please help to keep our town beautiful by doing your part. Keep a list of where you have placed signs and remove them immediately after your advertised event is done.

Thank you for your cooperation.
